Customer service representative helping a customer

Brights Hardware is looking for a Customer Experience Administrator to join its retail team in the Western Cape. This is a permanent, full-time role for someone who enjoys helping people, solving problems and making every visit to the store a good one. Applications close on November 13, 2026, and the salary is market related.

About the company and the work

Brights Hardware is a family-run hardware business that opened its doors in 1971, when Mr. and Mrs. Luis started a general dealer specialising in electrical goods. The business has grown steadily since then, opening a store in Uitzicht, Durbanville at the end of 2011, and it is still owned and run by the Luis family together with Brights staff members. The company’s stated challenge has stayed the same since 1971: to maintain the highest standards of service for its customers.

The Customer Experience Administrator sits at the heart of that promise. The role exists to make sure customers enjoy an exceptional experience at every point of their journey with Brights, from the shop floor to online orders and after-sales queries. The successful candidate will act as a service-driven custodian of the Brights brand, someone who is passionate about turning an ordinary shopping trip into a positive and memorable one.

Where to find and apply safely

Apply only through the original Careers24 listing for this vacancy, using the Apply button on this page. Be careful of anyone who asks you to pay a fee to apply or who contacts you from an unofficial channel; a genuine employer will never charge you to submit an application.

Practical tips

Because this role blends shop-floor service with online and administrative work, your application should show both sides: give short examples of helping customers face to face, and of any experience with online orders, customer records or social media queries. Mention your typing speed and any experience with stock systems if you have it, and keep your CV neat and free of spelling errors, since the advert itself places a premium on grammar and accuracy.

How the process works

Applications are submitted through the Careers24 listing for this vacancy and close on November 13, 2026. The advert notes that if you are not contacted within two weeks after the closing date, you should consider your application unsuccessful.
