Brights Hardware is looking for a Cashier to join its Frontline Department in the Western Cape. This is a permanent role for a friendly, alert and numerically strong person who enjoys working with customers at the till point. Applications close on November 13, 2026, and the salary is market related.
About the company and the work
Brights Hardware is a family-run hardware business that opened its doors in 1971, when Mr. and Mrs. Luis started a general dealer specialising in electrical goods. The business has grown steadily since then, opening a store in Uitzicht, Durbanville at the end of 2011, and it is still owned and run by the Luis family together with Brights staff members. The company’s stated challenge has stayed the same since 1971: to maintain the highest standards of service for its customers.
The cashier is the last person many customers deal with before they leave the store, so the role matters more than it may look. The purpose of the job is to ensure and maintain an efficient service at the till, following the cash register procedure and ringing up sales accurately, in a way that increases customer satisfaction and supports the continuous growth of the business.
