Practical tips
Lead with your CA(SA) standing and your post-qualification experience, since both are stated as minimum requirements. Highlight insurance-sector or regulated-environment experience, IFRS reporting and any direct dealings with regulators such as the Prudential Authority, SARS or external auditors. Because the role sits on an executive leadership team, give concrete examples of board reporting, capital allocation decisions and team development rather than general finance duties.
How the process works
Applying through the original advert sends your application to Manpower SA (Pty) Ltd., which screens candidates for the client, a progressive insurance company. The advert notes that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted, so if you do not hear back, assume your application was not taken forward on this occasion.
