The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and timely delivery of products to customers, maintaining vehicles in a clean and roadworthy condition, and providing professional customer service.
Role details and duties
The role covers planning and mapping out driving routes to determine the most efficient routes for deliveries, ensuring delivery loads match delivery notes before departure and that loads are stable and properly secured, maintaining the truck and vehicle in a safe, clean and roadworthy condition, ensuring deliveries are completed timeously and delivery targets are achieved, maintaining positive relationships with customers and providing professional service during deliveries, scheduling regular vehicle servicing and reporting any issues in accordance with the driver’s log sheet, obtaining and documenting customer confirmations for returned pallets in the pallet return book, participating in stocktaking when required, and completing daily vehicle operator check sheets and maintaining accurate driver’s log sheets.
Requirements
