Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric with English and Mathematics, or an equivalent qualification.
- Technical Trade Certificate; a tertiary trade qualification is an advantage.
- Valid South African driver’s licence and valid forklift licence.
- Working at Heights qualification is essential, plus Risk Assessment, First Aid Level 1, and Scaffolding Erection and Inspection qualifications.
- Ability to work with hand tools and power tools; welding skills are an advantage, with a welding qualification also an advantage.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Junior Field Technician, or minimum 3 years of technical, electrical or industrial working experience.
- Experience with mechanical and electrical repairs, installations and maintenance is advantageous.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills, good communication, computer literacy, planning and time management.
- Ability to work at heights and meet the physical demands of the role, with good leadership skills.
