About the company and the work
The successful candidate will work closely with sales, demand planning and senior managers locally and internationally. A central part of the job is making sure customers receive their products on time, through close coordination with shipping agents, transporters and port warehouse operators.
Role details and duties
- Work with sales and demand planning teams and senior management on fertiliser shipments and customer deliveries.
- Review letters of credit, check customer invoices and account statements, and confirm that payment records agree with finance records.
- Issue invoices showing final prices, along with credit and debit notes, and follow up payments with clients so collections stay on track.
- Give sales the data needed to issue order numbers in line with sales contracts.
- Coordinate with logistics and port service providers so vessels arrive on time and loading runs smoothly.
- Manage documentation and customs clearance work with the appointed agent, and carry out regular stock reconciliations and reporting.
- Track changes in international trade requirements, including UCP 600, Incoterms and related standards, and apply agreed logistics policies and procedures.
- Build strong customer relationships, keep service levels high, and work with demand planning to resolve customer complaints.

Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Shipping, Business, Finance or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in a shipping, customer services or internal sales role, ideally in agriculture, fertiliser, chemical or related markets.
- Strong knowledge of the fertiliser industry and imports in the assigned region, including relationships with main importers.
- A proven track record of leading logistics or documentation processes.
- Familiarity with letters of credit.
- A high-energy, strategic approach to problem solving, with strong analytical ability and sound business judgement.
