ABEAR INDUSTRIAL is looking for an Internal Sales Representative for its office in Sebenza, Edenvale. This is a permanent, full-time role with a market-related salary. About the company and the work
The company is a well-established and fast-growing manufacturer of rubber mining wear parts, with an office in Sebenza, Edenvale. The internal sales representative will support business-to-business sales, mainly from the office, with occasional local travel, rarely away from home for up to a week or two. The role combines customer service, sales administration and product knowledge for industrial customers, including bulk material handling.
Role details and duties
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships and generate business-to-business sales and leads.
- Carry out outbound sales cold calling and follow up leads.
- Do technical calculations and draw up quotations.
- Use relevant software packages, including Excel, Word and email, and keep administration accurate and up to date.
- Assist with stock counts when required.
- Use relevant social media to search and post, with a good knowledge of the platforms involved.
- Work to service excellence, take initiative and follow through on commitments.
Requirements
- A marketing qualification, which is compulsory.
- Suitable experience in selling industrial products, with knowledge of bulk material handling.
- Excellent administration skills.
- Superior verbal and written presentation skills, particularly in English.
- Strong negotiation skills and techniques.
- The ability to do technical calculations and draw up quotations.
- The ability to undertake outbound sales cold calling.
- Good knowledge of relevant social media and the ability to search and post.
A polymer science or rubber technology qualification would be advantageous but is not compulsory. The role also calls for high energy, self-motivation, confidence, a strong work ethic, initiative, determination and ambition.
