Role details and duties
- Capture debtor, supplier and producer invoices, and allocate costs correctly to sale and purchase orders.
- Check invoices to ensure they comply with SARS valid tax invoice requirements.
- Capture payments in the accounting system, matching payments, and send remittances.
- Ensure timeous receipt of supplier invoices and statements, attend to supplier queries, and handle supplier correspondence and follow-up.
- Obtain approval of invoices to be paid.
- Prepare debtor, creditor and bank reconciliations.
- Assist with cashflow, financial reporting and ad hoc reporting.
- Assist with preparation of the annual audit, filing, processing of debit and credit cards, and posting of journals.
Requirements
- A Matric certificate.
- A financial certificate will be advantageous; otherwise, a background in finance will be considered.
- At least 3 years’ working experience.
- Skills the advert lists include attention to detail and the ability to detect errors, good Excel skills, excellent interpersonal skills, good communication skills in Afrikaans and English, problem solving, teamwork, time management and meeting deadlines, being hardworking and reliable, working well under pressure, and an adaptable mindset.
