Virgin Active South Africa is looking for a Club-V Attendant in the North West to look after its youngest members. This contract role is all about making exercise irresistible to children, keeping the Club-V facility safe, clean and welcoming, and creating a nurturing space where small toddlers and babies can play and learn.
Virgin Active is one of South Africa’s best-known health club groups, and Club-V is its dedicated children’s facility inside its clubs, where members’ children are cared for while their parents train. The attendant’s purpose is to interact, entertain, educate and stimulate Club-V members, maintain a safe, hygienic and clean environment, provide a happy and welcoming atmosphere, and create a nurturing environment for small toddlers and babies.
The attendant correctly controls and manages electronic access and exit of all Club-V members to the facility, manages access cards to ensure they are valid and contain all relevant information, and effectively manages the 2 consecutive hour rule. The role follows the monthly activity roster and theme correctly, plans activities and executes them on an ongoing basis, adheres to all emergency procedures competently, meets all operational standards and requirements, maintains control of the Club-V environment, reports any incidents immediately to the Manager on Duty and/or Club-V Co-ordinator, and correctly controls stock within the facility including toys, arts and crafts and disposables.
Minimum requirements are a clear criminal check, up to date First Aid training, up to date in-house Club-V training and up to date Active Play training, an affinity for children, the ability to entertain children, the ability to conduct physical games and activities with confidence, and the ability to learn and implement new juniors programmes.
