The Central University of Technology, Free State (CUT) is a university of technology with campuses in Bloemfontein and Welkom. These part-time lecturing posts are appointed on an hourly basis for specific semester and/or year subjects, covering teaching, learning and assessment. Lectures can be expected to be face-to-face, via remote teaching, or a combination of the two, and successful applicants will be required to lecture on the relevant CUT campus.
The main purpose of the job is to develop academic material and lecture in allocated subjects for own and other programmes, and to execute appropriate community projects. Subject fields are: Diploma in Management — Project Management Principles II, Basic Business Research Skills II, Supply Chain Management III, Risk Management III and Procurement Management III; and Advanced Diploma in Applied Management — Quantitative Techniques and Basic Financial Analysis Tools. Lecturers for these subjects must be able to give classes during the daytime and evening, and will be expected to have their own laptop computer.
Requirements are an appropriate BTech, Honours, Master’s or Doctorate degree, depending on the level of presentation. Previous lecturing experience will serve as a recommendation, and experience with electronic education (Blackboard) is recommended. No experience level label is stated in the advert.
