Core Group is looking for an Apple Technical Solutions Consultant to deliver technical implementation, consulting and support services to its Apple business customers in Sandton, with applications closing on 28 December 2026.
Core Group is South Africa’s Apple-focused technology group, supplying Apple products and services to business customers through its retail and enterprise operations. This role sits at the centre of that business work: it focuses on assessing customer IT environments, implementing mobile device management solutions, deploying Apple devices and providing technical training so that business environments run smoothly.
You will carry out Apple IT environment assessments, evaluating customers’ existing Apple technology environments, identifying technical risks and opportunities for improvement, and recommending solutions that support secure and efficient operations. You will configure, implement and troubleshoot mobile device management solutions, including device management policies and configuration, and plan, test and execute Apple device deployments, including pilot projects, ensuring solutions meet customer needs. You will diagnose and resolve issues relating to device enrolment, MDM configuration, networking and identity management, deliver technical training and knowledge-sharing sessions to help customers effectively use and administer their Apple environments, and develop and maintain implementation guides, environment assessment reports and technical documentation. You will work closely with business customers to understand their technical requirements and provide practical recommendations, and stay up to date with Apple enterprise technologies, MDM platforms and industry best practices to keep improving service delivery. The successful candidate will combine strong technical expertise with a customer-focused approach to deliver secure, reliable and effective Apple technology solutions from initial assessment through to implementation and handover.
Applicants need a relevant IT qualification or equivalent practical experience, and at least two years’ experience in IT support, systems administration or endpoint management, including practical experience with one or more MDM platforms such as Jamf Pro, Microsoft Intune, Kandji or a similar platform. You need working knowledge of Apple Business Manager, automated device enrolment and managed Apple device deployment, a good understanding of macOS, iOS and iPadOS, and familiarity with enterprise identity and productivity platforms including Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Entra ID. Strong technical troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills, good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly, and strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage implementation activities are all required. Knowledge of IT security, identity management and endpoint management best practices, relevant industry certifications in Apple technologies, device management, Microsoft, Jamf or other platforms, and experience delivering technical implementations, customer training or IT consulting services in a business environment are advantageous. Key competencies include Apple technical expertise, a structured and analytical approach to problem-solving, customer focus, clear communication with customers of varying technical levels, planning and organisation, attention to detail in configuration, secure deployments and handovers, and continuous learning about evolving Apple enterprise technology. The salary is market related, and the position is permanent.
