Key duties include supervising daily site activities, construction teams and subcontractors; monitoring project progress against construction programmes and delivery milestones; compiling, implementing and regularly updating project schedules; interpreting construction drawings, specifications and technical documentation; coordinating site inspections with quality assurance and quality control teams; conducting site meetings, toolbox talks and safety committee meetings; preparing daily site reports, detailed contractor reports and method statements; identifying, reporting and closing out non-conformances; enforcing occupational health, safety and environmental requirements; monitoring material usage, reducing wastage and assisting with procurement; and supporting the Quantity Surveyor with cost tracking and resource management.
Requirements

- National Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
- 8-10 years’ construction experience, including 3-5 years in a senior engineering or Site Agent role.
- SACPCMP registration or registration with a similar professional body will be advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with CCS or similar construction software.
- Knowledge of OHS regulations and NEC and JBCC contract frameworks.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet demanding project deadlines.
