Role details and duties
Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining applications, database integrations, interfaces and new functionality; writing clean, scalable, maintainable and high-quality code; designing and implementing automated tests to make sure software is correct and reliable; identifying, investigating and resolving software defects and production issues; contributing to software architecture and technical decision-making; evaluating and adopting appropriate technologies and approaches to solve business problems; working in Agile development environments; managing multiple priorities and delivering high-quality solutions in a fast-moving environment; mentoring developers and conducting code reviews; taking ownership of software solutions from design through to delivery and production support; working directly with stakeholders to understand business problems and translate them into technical solutions; and contributing to improving development processes and workflows.

- 10+ years of experience building and delivering production software.
- Experience developing and maintaining applications, database integrations, interfaces and new functionality.
- Strong experience with C#, .NET and SQL Server.

- Understanding of software architecture and the ability to contribute to technical design decisions.
- Ability to evaluate and adopt appropriate technologies and approaches to solve business problems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality solutions in a fast-moving environment.
- Experience with development tools such as Visual Studio, Rider, IntelliJ IDEA or WebStorm (advantageous).
- Experience with Git and Azure DevOps (advantageous).
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Azure, Application Insights and SonarQube (advantageous).
- Knowledge of Java, Angular, React, JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3 (advantageous).
- Ability to contribute to improving development processes and workflows.
- Experience mentoring and supporting developers through technical guidance and code reviews.
- Ability to take ownership of problems from design through to delivery and production support.
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound technical judgement and take accountability for the work.
