A client, through Mindworx Consulting, is looking for a Senior Manager Legal Advisory to provide strategic legal guidance, ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, manage legal risk and help achieve the organisation’s objectives. This is a permanent, full-time role in JHB – Central. Reference: REC000630-Dudu-1.

Role details and duties

• Develop and implement legal strategies aligned with the company’s overall goals and objectives.
• Lead and manage the legal department in line with approved policies, applicable laws and delegated authority.
• Provide regular reports to EXCO and other structures on the department’s operations and activities.
• Manage and oversee legal disputes, contracts, agreements and legal documents, and work with external legal counsel when necessary.
• Advise on contractual matters and risk mitigation, and help develop internal policies and procedures.
• Build relationships with internal stakeholders, government entities and private sector stakeholders.
• Provide guidance on corporate governance, including board governance, compliance, the Companies Act and King IV.
• Facilitate training on legal and governance matters for executives and staff.
