Role details and duties

• Prepare and submit monthly valuations, progress claims and interim payment certificates.
• Monitor project costs against budgets and allowable targets, including Actual vs. Allowable cost reporting.
• Compile cost reports and track project financial performance and cash flow.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, valuations, payments and final accounts.
• Measure completed works accurately and maintain comprehensive supporting documentation.
• Identify, assess and submit variation claims and early warning notices so additional work is recovered.

Requirements

• Minimum 8 to 10 years’ experience within the civil engineering construction sector.
• BSc/BTech in Quantity Surveying.
• At least 5 years’ site-based experience with a large contractor.
• Experience in roads, bridges, earthworks, railway or multidisciplinary infrastructure projects.
• Experience on internationally funded infrastructure projects in other African countries will be advantageous.
• SACQSP Candidate or Professional registration will be highly advantageous.
• Advanced proficiency in CCS Candy and BuildSmart is advantageous.
• Working knowledge of FIDIC Red Book and GCC 2015 contract conditions.
