Role details and duties

• Process point-of-sale transactions and cash-ups accurately and in line with company policy
• Capture manual invoices electronically within 24 hours and attach electronic invoices to manual books
• Promote add-on sales on customer purchases and work towards targets
• Maintain TV licence registers and process TV licence purchases as required
• Balance cash-ups and floats against system totals in the presence of a supervisor or manager
• Keep till points secure, clean and ready for trading, and lock tills when unattended
• Check cash and credit cards, deactivate merchandise tags at checkout and report suspicious activity
• Answer calls promptly using company greetings and take accurate messages
• Provide customer-focused service, handle complaints promptly and escalate when needed
• Help customers with credit and cellular application forms, and drive cellular, credit and lay-by sales
• Receive, log and dispatch customer repair items and follow up on repairs in progress

Requirements
