Role details / duties

• Assist customers in selecting suitable paint products, colours, finishes and painting accessories.
• Provide product knowledge and technical advice on paint applications and surface preparation.
• Prepare paint colour mixes and tint paint according to customer specifications.
• Process sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Maintain attractive and well-stocked product displays.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory control and stock replenishment.
• Promote special offers, new products, and upsell complementary products.
• Handle customer enquiries, complaints and returns professionally.
• Ensure the showroom and sales area remain clean, organised and safe.
• Follow company procedures, health and safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Build and maintain positive customer relationships to encourage repeat business.

Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric.
• Clear criminal record.
• Previous retail sales experience is preferred.
• Experience in paint, hardware, building materials or home improvement sales is advantageous.
• Basic computer literacy and experience with POS systems.
• Ability to work weekends and public holidays when required.
