A .Net Tech Lead is needed for a remote contract role based in Johannesburg, placed through iOCO. The successful candidate will lead a team of software engineers building cutting-edge applications with .NET and Angular, setting the technical standard for how the team codes, tests and delivers working software. Role details and duties
As .Net Tech Lead, your work will include:
- Leading the development process and directing the team’s software engineers in setting the standards for coding, testing and software quality.
- Collaborating closely with the team’s business analysts on the efficient transition of business-driven developments and Swagger specifications to the engineers as part of the overall workflow.
- Overseeing and managing the scope, timeline and goals for the delivery of working software, and providing clear reporting on the status of that scope, timeline and progress.
- Overseeing and assisting in the production of comprehensive documentation, and overseeing and supporting production cutovers and migrations as required.
- Leading the analysis and resolution of technical and application problems, and assisting in the prioritisation of bugs and defects.
- Supporting the Scrum Master by participating in and supporting backlog grooming, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews and retrospectives.
- Assisting in setting up a robust out-of-hours support process.
- Providing guidance and mentoring: participating in peer reviews of solution designs and related code, giving technical leadership to the team’s software engineers through coaching and mentorship, and identifying and encouraging areas for growth, education and development within the team.
Requirements

- Strong experience in Angular version 6 or higher.
- C#.NET.
- CSS, HTML and JavaScript.
- SQL Server or relational database experience.
