A client in the glass manufacturing industry is looking for a Maintenance Team Leader, Mechanical or Electrical, to join its Engineering Department in Springs. This full-time role suits someone with proven supervisory and problem-solving skills.

Role details and duties
- Make sure routine maintenance follows maintenance schedules, work instructions, works procedures and quality assurance plans, and meets accepted safety standards and high workmanship.
- Make sure planned repair work and breakdown repairs are done with minimum delay.
- Coordinate maintenance work with production staff so interruptions are avoided.
- Manage and develop a maintenance approach for equipment, with a high level of engineering service to ensure maximum plant availability.
- Provide schedules for preventative maintenance service equipment, and make sure schedules are updated and followed.
- Use Microsoft Excel to generate reports and graphs.
- Record all work done in the time-record work book and report adverse plant conditions.
- Make sure relevant designs and drawings meet the required specification.
- Follow and take responsibility for ISO 9000 and OHS Act requirements in plant and equipment areas.
Requirements
- N6 qualification in Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
- Ten years of experience gained in a manufacturing environment.
- Computer literacy.
- Experience in cost centre budget control and reporting of expenditure.
- Knowledge of PLC and SCADA systems and drives is advantageous.
- SAP knowledge, particularly creating notifications and job work orders, is necessary.
- Good leadership qualities and excellent interpersonal skills.
