Role details / duties

• Lead maintenance for a plastic packaging manufacturing operation in the Western Cape.
• Keep machinery running and respond quickly and safely when machines break down.
• Keep breakdowns under control and maintenance plans on track.
• Support steady production so the factory does not come to a grinding halt.
• Apply fault-finding skills across electrical and mechanical systems, including PLC, VSD and SCADA equipment.
• Use planned maintenance approaches, including condition monitoring, reliability-centred maintenance and failure analysis, and total productive maintenance.
• Meet statutory compliance requirements for plant and equipment.

Requirements

• Grade 12, plus a Trade Test as an Electrician or Millwright.
• National Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• GMR 2.1 Appointment.
• 10 years of experience in a similar position.
• Experience with CMMs, RCM/FMEA, TPM and statutory compliance.
• Experience within the plastics or packaging manufacturing industry.
• Strong fault-finding experience with PLC, VSD and SCADA systems.
