Role details / duties

• Manage complex projects from concept through to implementation, within budget, timelines, and governance requirements.
• Lead and manage change across projects and business segments.
• Design, plan, and implement value-adding logistics solutions for clients and the business.
• Work with Operations, Management, EXCO, and other internal and external stakeholders.
• Conduct business analysis, define requirements, and translate them into IT communications.
• Develop Business Requirement Specifications, SOPs, process specifications, and supporting documentation.
• Analyse operational data and recommend actions supporting objectives and cost savings.
• Develop business cases and feasibility studies, considering ROI, productivity, and growth.
• Lead continuous improvement and Lean Six Sigma initiatives.
• Support warehouse and transport planning and optimisation initiatives.

Requirements

• BEng Degree in Industrial Engineering or Degree in Project Management (BEng/BSc).
• 8+ years’ project management experience essential.
• 5+ years’ change management experience and 5+ years’ business analysis experience essential.
• 5+ years’ relevant logistics and supply chain management or related industry experience.
• Experience in supply chain optimisation, planning, and design; Business Requirement Specifications; and projects from initiation through implementation.
• 5+ years’ leadership experience, including staff performance management and development.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
• Valid unendorsed driver’s licence and own transport; willingness to travel within South Africa and cross-border, including Zambia, Botswana, and Namibia.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook; Microsoft Project and Visio.
