In this role you will wrap and decorate customers’ purchases with gift-wrapping paper, ribbons, bows and tape after purchase, adding a finishing touch that makes their gifts feel special. This is a contract role in the general and retail sectors, based at the De Wiekus store.
Role details and duties
Your gift-wrapping work will include assisting customers in selecting appropriate wrapping materials, wrapping each package in a professional manner and in accordance with specified guidelines, removing price tags from packaged products and including gift receipts in the wrapping, and clearly organising and storing wrapped packages in the gift-wrap holding area as assigned. You will also perform other duties as requested. On the customer service side, you will provide friendly, helpful and courteous assistance to all customers, greet customers and determine their needs and wants, deal with all customer queries and resolve them within a reasonable time, wear the correct uniform and name badge at all times, and report bad and suspicious behaviour by staff and customers to management.
Requirements
The only stated qualification is a Grade 12 / Matric or Senior Certificate. The advert asks for attention to detail and basic customer service skills.
