Its client in Franschhoek is looking for a part-time Food and Beverage Manager to oversee the daily operations of all food and beverage outlets, balancing guest experience with sound commercial control.

Role details / duties

• Oversee the daily operations of all food and beverage outlets.
• Manage staff, including supervision and people management.
• Handle budgeting, stock control and cost management.
• Apply food safety and hygiene standards and relevant hospitality legislation.
• Work with point-of-sale systems, inventory systems and Microsoft Office.
• Deliver excellent customer service and resolve complaints professionally.
• Plan and organise operations, and work shifts, weekends and public holidays as required.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Food and Beverage Management or a related field.
• Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in food and beverage operations, preferably in a supervisory or management role.
• Proven experience in staff management, budgeting, stock control and cost management.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards and relevant hospitality legislation.
• Computer literacy, including point-of-sale systems, inventory systems and Microsoft Office.
• Strong financial, organisational and administrative skills.
• Excellent leadership and people-management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent customer service and complaint-resolution abilities.
• Financial awareness and sound commercial judgement.
• Effective planning, organisation and time management.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays as required.

Previous experience in a hotel, restaurant, resort, lodge or hospitality establishment will be advantageous.
