Eskom is looking for an Engineering Assistant: High Voltage Plant Management to work from Dealesville. This is a permanent post at task grade T10, and applications close on 4 November 2026.
About the company and the work
Eskom operates in South Africa’s electricity, energy and water supply industry. This role sits in the HV Plant department within the Southern Grid, providing a safe, organised and planned first line maintenance service within the grid for high voltage plant and associated equipment.
Role details and duties
The successful candidate will:
- Provide an operating service to HV plant
- Execute maintenance
- Perform inspections
- Ensure compliance with safety, health and environmental policies
- Provide mentoring and coaching
- Provide documentation and configuration management
- Monitor non-outage related activities and conditions
Requirements
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements, as stated in the original advert:
- A Trade Certificate Electrical (Light Current / Heavy Current) at NQF4 with 120 credits
- Two years of electrical experience
