• National Diploma or Diploma in Electrical Engineering (NQF 6), or Advanced Diploma, BTech or BEng Tech in Electrical Engineering (NQF 7), with heavy current or power preferred, as shown in the listing.
• 3 or more years of experience in the electrical design of low-voltage switchgear, control panels or industrial electrical systems, including the calculations.
• Working knowledge of IEC 61439, IEC 60204-1 and SANS 10142-1.
• Familiarity with UL 508A is an advantage.
• Working experience in AutoCAD Electrical, or another device-based electrical design system.
• Registration as an Installation Electrician (Wireman’s Licence) is an advantage.
• Valid driver’s licence, and willingness to travel to site for commissioning.
