The Director of Business Consulting will lead for multiple clients and internal teams, identifying new revenue opportunities and designing and delivering solutions through a managed service that improves end customers’ business performance. The role also involves introducing new relationships and leading existing client relationships at senior levels.
The director will work with senior client contacts to understand their business issues and digital priorities, and to identify issues that could be solved by the platform. Duties include holding existing relationships that can be monetised by the business, leading the design of core solution components, and leading the implementation of digital change. The role carries personal accountability for the risk associated with outcome-based pricing, and calls for awareness of global trends in automation, leading practice and innovation. The director will define the information and data requirements that meet clients’ digital needs, design and oversee Agile implementations, and take responsibility for work delivered in complex environments.
Candidates should be educated to degree level and have a strong track record of completing commercial agreements and communicating impactful messages to senior stakeholders. Experience in a consulting environment is required, including excellent experience of building new client relationships, leading design-led solution workshops and redesigning complex business processes, and leading clients to enable cloud solution adoption. Strong commercial acumen linked to achieving client outcomes is essential, along with versatility, the ability to thrive in innovative situations, and recognition as an expert in a chosen field. A strong background in client handling, leading commercial agreements and change, and diagnosing business needs is also required, together with a strong desire to deliver process automation rather than presentations.
Client-related domain experience that is required includes mining and commodity-related operational improvement, and supply chain and logistics digital operational process improvement outside of traditional implementations.
