Role details / duties

• Oversee and manage project orders from inception until finalisation.
• Maintain customer liaison and ensure customer satisfaction.

• Manage shipping and clearing of imported transformers.
• Compile progress reports for the financial contractual status of projects.
• Conduct site inspections required as part of the project process.
• Receive and process customer orders in line with technical requirements.
• Liaise with internal departments to streamline processes.
• Follow up on contractual commitments and keep customers updated on progress and deliveries.
• Arrange and chair monthly contracts and projects meetings and management meetings as required.
• Manage staff, compile the departmental budget, and monitor timelines to minimise exposure to penalties.

Requirements

• National Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the transformer or high-voltage industry, with 2 years in a supervisory or management position.
• Knowledge and experience in MS Projects.
• Understanding of the operation and design of a transformer.
• Project management and contract management experience essential.
• Experience and knowledge of NEC contracts and objectives.
• SACPMP registration advantageous; SAP experience advantageous.
• Sound knowledge of importing transformers and related shipping and clearing activities.
• Proficiency in the MS Office Suite and a valid Code 8 driver’s licence.
