Role details and duties

• Develop, implement and maintain an effective compliance management framework.
• Conduct compliance monitoring, reviews, file sampling and control testing.
• Identify, assess and mitigate compliance and regulatory risks.
• Draft, review and maintain compliance policies and procedures.
• Provide guidance and support on regulatory requirements and legislative changes.
• Manage compliance reporting and engage with relevant governance structures.
• Deliver compliance training and awareness programmes across the business.
• Monitor adherence to applicable legislation, licence conditions and internal policies.
• Maintain compliance registers, monitoring plans and risk assessments.
• Support the business in creating practical controls that promote regulatory compliance.

This is a permanent, intermediate-level position in Turffontein, with salary undisclosed.

Requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Compliance, Law, Risk Management, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of compliance experience within the financial services industry.
• Proven experience in compliance risk management, regulatory monitoring and regulatory reporting.
• Sound knowledge of the regulatory framework applicable to Financial Services Providers.
• Strong understanding of FAIS, FICA, POPIA, Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) and related regulatory requirements.
• Advanced reporting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• FSCA Phase 1 approval as a Compliance Officer will be highly advantageous.
