Monitor Administrators (Pty) Ltd is seeking a Compliance Coordinator for a permanent, in-person role in Kloof, KwaZulu-Natal. The role provides administrative and operational support to the Compliance department, helping to keep compliance records, documentation and internal processes in order.

The Compliance department works with legal and compliance matters, insurer requirements and intermediary processes. The coordinator supports the Compliance Manager, handles compliance information with confidentiality and professionalism, and helps maintain internal Legal and Compliance processes, policies and procedures.

Role details / duties

• Assist the Compliance Manager on regulatory compliance matters.
• Collate and compile insurer reports, weekly, bi-monthly, monthly, quarterly or ad hoc.
• Collate statutory returns, including CBRs and NCRs, for final sign-off.
• Assist with onboarding and management of intermediaries in line with insurer outsourcing requirements.
• Train staff on compliance policies and procedures, and attend external training as required.
• Handle compliance matters with external stakeholders, monitoring, audits and risk assessments.
• Draft, review and update legal and compliance policies, contracts, SLAs and other documents.
• Prepare agendas and minutes and provide general administrative support to the Compliance Manager.

Requirements

• Matric / Grade 12.
• A Law Degree, described in the source as not negotiable.
• Compliance experience and RE5 are advantageous.
• Highly proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Systematic, efficient and accurate, able to work independently and conscientiously to deadlines.
• Able to communicate well on reporting requirements and to work under extreme pressure while maintaining standards, and a fast learner.
