The Free State Department of Social Development is offering 50 Security Officer posts, advertised in DPSA Public Service Vacancy Circular 39 of 2026, post 39/279. Salary is R170 226 per annum (Salary Level 03, about R14,185.50 per month). Centres are across the Free State, including Thabo Mofutsanyana District Office, Vrede, Senekal, Bethlehem and other offices and care centres. Reference numbers are DSDFS 103/26 to DSDFS 114/26. Requirements: Basic Education and Training at NQF Level 3, a Basic Security Officer’s Course, and PSIRA Grade C registration. Knowledge of access control and security procedures. Willingness to undergo security clearance.
Duties: Performing access control, ensuring premises safety, recording security incidents, monitoring movement of equipment and documents, and operating control room equipment.
