About the company and the work
The Recruitment Guy (Pty) Ltd is recruiting a qualified certified welder for a commercial vehicle fleet workshop in Camperdown, working across logistics, fleet, workshop and maintenance. The welder performs welding, fabrication, maintenance and repair work, keeping vehicles safe, sound and ready for the road. The role is permanent and full time, with a start as soon as possible.
Role details and duties
- Perform efficient repairs and maintenance to vehicles.
- Ensure that the workplace remains neat and tidy.
- Document all work carried out on job cards.
- Perform visual inspections, calibration work and adjustments.
- Identify deviations, irregularities and unusual wear and tear.
- Retrofit and commission accessories and mounted components.
- Administer internal parts processes.
Requirements
- Grade 12.
- Certified Welder / Red Seal qualification.
- Engineering fabrication experience.
- NQF Level 3 qualification in Boilermaking.
- MIG Welding qualification.
- SMAW qualification.
- Minimum five years’ practical experience.
- Good communication skills.
- Traceable and contactable references.
- Local residency or willingness to relocate.
