Role details

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising and leading the car wash team, allocating staff to workstations, and managing workflow.
• Training new employees, monitoring performance, and coaching team members.
• Making sure policies, safety rules, and attendance standards are followed.
• Overseeing the facility and checking that vehicles are cleaned and detailed to standard.
• Monitoring turnaround times and productivity, and carrying out final quality inspections.
• Resolving operational issues and maintaining or reporting equipment repairs.
• Giving customers a professional, positive experience from arrival to collection.
• Handling complaints and service recovery, and promoting additional services.
• Completing daily reports and checklists, and keeping accurate documentation.
• Managing stock levels of cleaning materials, including stock counts and ordering.
• Keeping attendance records and maintaining a clean, safe, and professional environment.
• Carrying out daily housekeeping inspections of wash bays, customer areas, and equipment.

The role is permanent and based on site in Bloubergstrand. The salary is R6000 to R7000 a month, with performance-based incentives, ongoing training and development, and career growth opportunities.

Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• At least two years of supervisory experience in a car wash, vehicle detailing, retail, hospitality, or service environment.
• Previous experience leading and motivating a team.
• Strong customer service skills and good administrative and reporting abilities.
• Basic computer literacy.
• The ability to work weekends, public holidays, and shifts.
• A valid driver’s licence is advantageous.
• Leadership and people management skills, planning and organising ability, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• A customer-focused approach, with the ability to work under pressure and take accountability.
