The team in Spartan, Kempton Park, works on advanced technology and practical engineering solutions, with a strong focus on quality, sustainability and doing the job well for customers. In this role, you will report to the Assembly Manager and work under the direction of a team leader or foreman, helping to bring different machine components together into finished, reliable equipment.
The Assembler carries out assembly tasks exactly as instructed, stays within the time allowed for each job, and checks both materials and finished work for suitability and quality before handover. Day-to-day work includes operating electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic tools, looking after the equipment issued to you, and keeping your work area clean, neat and free of safety hazards. You will also communicate work-related issues clearly to team members and your team leader, offer technical guidance to co-workers where you can, and help coach and support others in the workshop.
Safety is central to the role. You will follow safe work practices, use the correct personal protective equipment where required, carry out continuous risk assessments, correct and report unsafe acts and unsafe conditions, and immediately report any accident, injury or near miss to your team leader. A positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to engage in repetitive, precise work are important parts of the job.
