Regulatory compliance: The engineer oversees and guides HSES regulatory compliance performance throughout all phases of emergency pipeline repair lifecycle activities. This involves ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, industrial hygiene, occupational health, security, emergency preparedness, and response regulations.
Onsite safety awareness: The engineer champions safety awareness and safe performance with contractors on-site. They monitor contractor activities to ensure compliance with approved Project HSES procedures during emergency pipeline repair activities.
Compliance with company systems: The engineer ensures full compliance with the company’s systems and processes during all phases of emergency pipeline repair lifecycle activities.
Safety planning: The engineer prepares safety plans to support practical project completion, focusing on the health, safety, and environmental aspects.
Review and support: The engineer reviews contractor deliverables and safety study reports to support the development of HSES plans and procedures. They also participate in the design and HSES examines such as DRA (Design Review and Approval), HAZOPs (Hazard and Operability Study), HAZIDs (Hazard Identification), and risk assessments.
Communication and reporting: The engineer liaises daily with Contractor HSES Officers to ensure effective implementation of all Project/Work HSES requirements. They monitor contractor activities and performance, reporting to the EPRS Engineer on safety performance.
Training delivery: The engineer delivers specific HSES-related training based on the Competency Matrix. They also maintain accurate records of the training sessions.
HSE management: The engineer organizes and implements HSE management conformity work, including annual self-evaluation and regular re-examination. They follow up on the closure of HSE management gaps for the EPRS Division.
HSE Assurance Audit: The engineer is responsible for developing and executing HSE Assurance Audits for EPRS Consultancy & Repair Contractors.
Continuous improvement: The engineer supports EPRS discipline engineers in developing an ongoing improvement process related to HSE management activities.
