Afrimat Mining Services based in Bethlehem has a vacancy for:

Grading Clerk



Responsibilities include (but are not limited to the following):



Follow all health and Safety rules
Collect and prepare samples
Check the quality aspects of materials produced
Conduct inspection of material to determine weight
Temperature, grades moisture content and quantities inspection
Report any irregular findings to superiors
Ensure sampling machinery and tools are clean and in workable condition, making any necessary repairs



Minimum Qualifications/Experience:



Grade 12 certificate
Valid Driver’s license
Experience working at a remote mining site and in cross-cultural work environment
Good knowledge of test done in the lab according to the SANS 3001 testing method
Must be able to interpret results as per COTO specifications
Strong communication skills both verbal and written

Ability to work safely in fast paced environment
Must be able to function independently
Must be able to report on the test method completed and explain the results obtained
The candidates must be medically fit in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act and the Company standards for medical fitness.
