Afrimat Lyttelton, based in Centurion has a vacancy for a:
Duties and responsibilities
Assist with general duties assigned by Fleet Manager
Working knowledge of all earthmoving machinery (mobile plant, loaders, dumpers, excavators, LDVs, mobile crushing and screening machines)
Perform first line maintenance task on all yellow fleet
Perform first line of break down repairs on plant and equipment
Develop, modify, construct, and install related equipment required for the safe operation of all engineering equipment
Diagnosis, troubleshooting, fault finding and repair, and participation in HIRA
Creative thinking
Ordering spares
Complete risk assessments
Good experience in hydraulics (fault finding as well as changing cylinders)
Working knowledge of hydraulic pumps
Minimum Qualifications /Experience
Grade 12 – Matric (preferably technical)
5 years’ experience (after Trade Certification)
Computer literate – ability to open job cards
Basic electrical knowledge (auto electrical)
Working knowledge of tools
Ability to work on RSG, oil sampling as well as lubricating
Basic welding – Advantageous
Spray painting – Advantageous
Supervisory skills (Team leader) – Advantageous
