The Amathuba learnerships program is run and operated by the Old Mutual Group which is one of the largest financial institutes in South Africa. In line with the company’s employment equity plan, this program will only be offered to black candidates who are disabled, or black men and women.
Amathuba Learnerships Available
Old Mutual has many learnership programs and the Amathuba learnership is one of these. This program specializes in wealth management and upon completion successful candidates will receive a Level 4 Wealth Management Qualification. This program spans 12 months in total and selected candidates usually start their learnership at the beginning of the year.
Amathuba Learnership Requirements
The requirements listed below must be met by all applicants to be eligible to apply. All applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 25 and must be a citizen of South Africa. Only applicants from Cape Town will be considered.
Basic Requirements:
- Must hold a valid ID document or ID book
- Applicants must not be employed
- All candidates must have a valid Matric certificate
- Applicants must have passed matric in English? 50%, Maths Literacy? 70% and
- Pure Maths at 50% or higher
- Candidates must also have passed their second official language with a 50% or higher mark

Candidates must please make sure all documentation is certified, all fields of the application are completed in full and all contact detail is up-to-date before submitting the application.
Late applications, and incomplete or those missing documentation will not be considered. Once candidates are selected and a shortlist is formed those candidates will be contacted and asked to complete a written assessment and undergo an interview.
